is there a way to change author name and color in the comments of pages on the same mac? E.g. Two authors writing at the same mac and making comments, so I want different colours to distinguish who wrote which comment.

The Pages User Guide for Mac has this to say: Set author name and comment color in Pages on Mac - Apple Support
If two users are sharing the same account on a Mac, it seems that changing that Preferences Author name might be problematic for tracking changes in current and past documents (if opened).
Separate user accounts on the same Mac where the Author name would be unique in that user account Pages settings would likely be a better solution where the Author name and color settings would remain undisturbed.
