I forgot the passcode to my iPhone

My phone won't reset. I forgot my iPhone passcode and my phone is now saying "phone unavailable". I have tried putting it in recovery mode to reset with iTunes but the process keeps ending suddenly with nothing happening

My phone is now reading "phone unavailable" with no hours to wait displayed
