Changing Health app notification sound

iPhone 13 running iOS 17.4.1 (21E236)

When I began using the Health app for medication reminders, I’m sure I was given the option to choose the sound for the reminders. But now that I want to change the sound, I can’t see where to do that. There’s no option for this in Settings or in Health settings. How do I change the sound?

How can I change the default notification sound in iOS 17? My default notification sound changed when I updated to iOS 17. It’s too quiet and doesn’t provide enough vibration to alert me when I have the phone set to vibrate only. This needs to be changed in a subsequent release.

Cannot Change Square App Notification Sound on iPad Just purchased a new last gen iPad to receive notification of online orders through Square at our cafe. The tablet is operating OS17.1.1. According to Apple support, to change the sound for notification alerts for all 3rd party apps, we must change the text (messages) alert sound option in settings, which will then be applied to other apps. I did this and it is not working. The current default chime has no option to change, and unfortunately it is way too quiet to even hear, particularly at a little cafe with music and other things in the background causing noise. We’d prefer not to return this device for an Android. Please help!

Hi KateyTill,

Open Settings.
Tap on Sounds & Haptics.

You can only change certain sounds (like Reminder Alerts as you mentioned). The Health alerts would most likely fall under Default Alerts.

I like the idea of changing the sound of Health alerts! You can request it here - Feedback - Health - Apple. Apple promises to read all feedback.

Thanks pjswiz. I checked and found out that Default alerts doesn’t not encompass Health alerts.

I put in feedback to be able to customize Health notifications sounds, because I think that’s really cool and I’d love the ability to do so.
