Do I need to delete the existing Airtel eSIM before adding the new Jio eSIM?

Hi I am from India, I have ported my sim from Airtel to Jio. The airtel sim was an eSIM the new sim which I got is a physical sim of Jio. So to convert my physical jio sim to eSIM do I need to delete the existing airtel eSIM from the profile and add the new jio esim? Since the number is same do I face any problems while deleting the airtel ESIM ( which is currently inactive now). Kindly advise

You have a physical SIM from Jio which is currently active. You can delete the AirTel eSIM without impacting your current setup. You can then contact Jio and begin the conversion process from a physical SIM to an eSIM.

You can delete your AirTel eSIM at any time. It has no impact on what you are attempting to achieve. You can also start your request for Jio eSIM without inserting the physical SIM in the iPhone. At this point, all you need to do is contact Jio and get the eSIM activated.

Thanks and appreciate your suggestions. So to activate the new esim I need to insert the physical jio sim into my iPhone and start my request right. And parallely I can delete my eSIM which was airtel.
