Why is the Logic 11 icon bouncing for 2.5 whole minutes and not lauching Logic?

I click the icon. it bounces for 2.5 minutes, then stops. The dot below an icon that usually indicates an app is running is not there. No Logic window opens. However, right clicking on the icon will give you the option to "Force Quit" Logic, which means something somewhere believes the app is open. Frustration doesn't begin to describe the feeling. I wish Steve was still here.

I upgraded from 12.4, to 12.7.5, then to Sonoma 14.5 yesterday. Then, I upgraded to Logic 11 once Sonoma was up. Now, I wish I hadn't touched a thing and stayed with LPX on Monterey 12.4.
