Has anyone noticed anything about their cellular baseband aka “modem firmware?” In my general>about settings, says I’m on running on 2.60.02 but I’m seeing that iPhone 4 & 5 were running higher like 5.0.0 and up. I have iPhone 14 & it’s updated to 17.5. Help?! Perhaps outdated firmware is how they’re getting around security updates.

You are comparing modem firmware on two different modems and iPhone models. Your comparison, therefore, is not apples to apples. For example, I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max with modem firmware 1.60.02 which is current for this model.

In addition to Axel's excellent answer, I would point out that you have no control over the modem firmware. If the phone connects to the network properly, whatever you have is fine.
