Gboard voice typing is not working properly on my iPhone SE3

Hi. When I try to use voice dictation on my iPhone SE3 with the Gboard keyboard app by Google, the dictation screen just hangs and does nothing.

In my case it looks like this:

If you press the bottom arrow or the x, nothing happens. You can close it out (quit) and then it will post the text but that's unacceptable.

Just for information, the iPhone SE 2022 aka known as iPhone SE3, is using iOs 17.5.1. The Gboard app has full access and access to the mic and voice typing.

I bring it up here because, though it is a Google app, it is on the Apple platform. And my understanding is that in general, Apple wants what it offers to users to be safe and to work properly.

I'm going to submit this as a bug report and maybe reference the thread. I'm also going to post this on the appropriate Google related website. Hopefully through these actions this can be fixed.
