How can I disable Apple Intelligence on my iPhone?

"AI" is a tool. Like any tool, it can be used to make life better, or it can be used to make us miserable. Sometimes, both at the same time. Hammers are very useful, but they can also be weapons. That doesn't mean we make hammers illegal. It means we have laws against harming people.

And people have said pretty much the same thing about every technological advance.

As been said many times here, if you are talking about third party services such as ChatGPT, you have to allow any request, it is not doing it automatically, so you have nothing to worry about. As for other AI features such as Machine Learning to detect faces and objects in photos, and for Siri Suggestions and Predictive Text, you have already been using those features for many years and your personal information stays on your device.

Please review the posts here. It is likely all of your concerns have already been addressed.

Okay, here’s the deal. AI will be included whether you want it or not. You have no control over that. All smartphones will have it. You cannot uninstall it. Your only choice is to not use it. Using it is completely optional. But know you have been using AI for years, you just didn't think about it. eMail apps use AI to filter junk mail. Siri uses AI to get information you ask for. The maps app you get directions from uses AI. FaceID you use to unlock your iPhone uses it. Almost every task you take on uses AI in one from or another.

First of all, this feature has NOT been released. And there is no reason to need to turn off something you don't intend to use. In order to use it, you'd have to identify what you'd want to remove and confirm you want it removed. Your post is like saying I want to turn off the ability to change which camera you use as you will only use one camera. That doesn't make sense and as is the case with all photo features, you choose which you use when you want to use them. And you don't use features available to you, if you don't want to use them.

Bottom line, don't edit photos or remove objects in them if you don't want to remove objects.

Coming back to this, AI will be OFF all the time unless you turn it on. You must explicitly go to Settings enable it, or you won’t have it.

You think you will avoid AI by switching to a different platform? Think again. It’s everywhere including the other platforms. Your only option is to simply not use it. With Apple AI it’s opt-in, not opt-out. If you want it you have to turn it on. If you don’t want it you don't have to do anything, It’s off by default.

I don’t want Apple AI on my phone, the UP phone is looking like my next alternative. I have stopped updating at iOS 17. If they don’t fix it so we can opt out I’m getting unplugged phone (UP put) next.

You really need to evaluate the source of the information you are receiving and maybe look for something more reliable. Not even sure if you have read any of the posts here in the directly related thread. You are automatically opted out and would need to opt in even if you had a phone that supported it, which likely is not even the case.

Then don’t turn it on. It is off by default, and if you want to use it leave it off.

100% I do NOT want AI built into my iPhone. I will go iphoneless if we do not have options.
