Carrier unlock

Hello, i need help, i have in hand an iPhone bought with a third party! it is locked by verizon, i contacted them to get it unlocked, but they told me device is no longer with their services, because there is no verizon account associated to device, so they can’t unlock it. but device is sold by verizon and locked by verizon, how can i get it unlocked? because i live outside united states and i want to use it with my local carrier. thank you

If it’s locked to Verizon, only Verizon can unlock it. If they told you they can’t or won’t, then it can not be unlocked.

Return it to whoever you got it from and get your money back if you can. You’re not going to be able to use it.

Apple cannot help you. We also can't help you on this user to user only forum. As KiltedTim correctly suggests, if the phone is locked to Verizon and they tell you they cannot unlock it, then you have a phone you cannot use. Buying used iPhone's from people you don't know is usually fraught with disappointment.


Return the phone if you can. If you can't return it, recycle it responsibly and learn from this unfortunate buying decision.
