Why even with a paid Apple TV subscription still I have to pay extra to watch some shows?

Why even thought I am paying for subscription I still need to pay more to see for example “there will be blood” or even “gladiator” ?

all it makes me do is wonder where my subscription money goes and simply CANCEL before the first bill comes as I see no point whatsoever to use this service if that’s the way they operate, I’d rather go to a theater with those insane prices you have to pay for each movie on a streaming service that by itself costs money (and judging by the comments everyone one else agrees )

weird, annoying, lame and just plain stealing if that’s the way it is.

CANCELING THE USELESS SUBSCRIBCTION IS THE ONLY CHOICE YOU LEAVE ME

All you need to do is select the Apple TV+ tab to only view content that you can watch for free. If you are using the Home tab, then you will also get options from other services that may require a charge or subscription. This is the same way it works on other streaming apps such as Hulu, Paramount+, Prime Video, etc.

If you subscribe to a different streaming service, you will see that they also show Apple TV content that you will need the subscription in order to view it. If you do not like the content provided by the Apple TV service, then of course you should cancel it. I find it much more enjoyable to watch original content from Apple TV, then watching old rerun TV shows offered with the subscription to some of the other streaming services. The choice is yours.

Why? Because you have a complete misunderstanding of what an AppleTV+ subscription is. An Apple TV+ subscription gives you access to all Apple produced, original content and nothing more. If Apple didn’t make it then it’s not part of your subscription. Apple TV+ is not like some other steaming services that have catalogs of movies included in their subscriptions.

So if you are not interested in Apple produced original content then by all means cancel your subscription. There are great, award winning movies and series on Apple TV+ like Napoleon, Foundation, See, For All Mankind, all of which are included in your subscription. Without a subscription you can’t watch that content.
