New photo search feature highlights the word in the photo I searched for but automatically DIMS the picture so Senior eyes can’t read it.
i just wanted to find the picture related to my search but don’t need the word highlighted messing up seeing the image.

When you search for a word in your Photo Library and then select one of the options, it highlights the word so you know where in the photo it appeared. I know this isn’t the optimal solution, but if you look at the bottom right of the photo there is an icon (this is the Live Text icon). If you tap it once, it’ll search for all text within the photo and if you tap it again all the highlighting will be gone.
Lastly, I’d highly recommend updating to iOS 17.5.1. Staying up to date is very important for the security of your iPhone and the information on it.

Thank you but doesn’t really fix whatever Apple was thinking putting this feature in the search function.
Your procedure worked sorta but then if you magnify the picture to read it the effect returns. Augh.
Don’t even get me started on those red bull eyes that are imbedded in some photos now.
i regret updating because of this & concerned about the next lame idea some programmer comes up with.
