Supplement AppleTV 4k Storage? Perhaps I just got the point about AppleTV Storage

128GB Storage on AppleTV 4k. Is that misrepresentation, or is it correct. I keep Paramount+, PBS, PRIME VIDEO, YouTube(the free site) apps on my128GB unit. But it's not enough Storage which, apparently causes streaming buffering. I believe

Paramount+ Storage=106 KB, PBS=94 KB, Prime Video=86 KB, YouTube=37KB may cause buffering. Is that correct?

The storage is very likely correct. The current top model Apple TV box is listed as having a 128 GB capacity disk. Your issue is not about the storage capacity.

App file sizes are normally in MB; not GB or KB. The storage for buffing that each of those apps may use, is shared between all apps, and only used by the currently active app. Nothing to worry about; it won’t exceed any limits. You have plenty of storage (32 GB would be enough for many users).

Buffering is unrelated to that. Buffering is caused by an insufficient internet connection (bandwidth), somewhere between the content provider and the playback device. If it were for me, then I would scrutinize the home network first. Try the Speedtest app from the on-device App Store, to see what bandwidth the Apple TV box is able to get.

Good info-Thanks! I think, since Paramount+ is my ONLY buffering problem, that app is my buffering source. So I've made these changes:

1-No Favorite Marking

2-OffLoad all other apps while viewing Paramount+

3-Pay for 1GB BandWidth

4-Bought current Ethernet & HDMI cables & Separated all Data Cables from ANY Power Cables and Devices

5-Replaced 2009Router with Last Apple Extreme

6-Arrange ALL Cables away from all, other than the connected, Devices

7-Router and AppleTV+ kept Ten Inches from SONY TV, SONY Soundbar, and 4-feet from each other.

8-Paramount+ still buffers only occasionally so I Delete that app, Download it again, Sign In & Open the Streaming selection which was

interrupted and viola!, buffering is gone. I do watch this app during the

evening only; perhaps 'ISP Throttling

their FibreOptic FTTC' creates that evening buffering due to demand.

So, since my 1GB BandWidth is more than adequate for MY Streaming demands, perhaps Either my ISP, or Paramount+, or Both are beyond my efforts to eliminate buffering.

Thanks for this discussion!
