Using Apple TV devices, Understanding the need for 128GB storage over 64GB

When using Apple TV devices, Why would I need 128 GB storage over 64 GB? What are you storing?

The Apple TV stores apps and games. While apps use fairly little storage games can use several gigabytes on their own, so can go through the storage pretty quickly.


If you are not planning on downloading many games, then 64GB should be fine.

As Phil stated you can easily get by on 64GB.

However I would recommend getting the 128GB since it’s only about $20 more, if you can afford that. Better to have more storage to start with if you ever need more in the future as you can’t add on extra storage later. It has Thread networking support


In any case get the third Gen Apple TV 4K with either storage so you can take advantage of the latest features. This is currently the latest model. Here’s a comparison of the two options.
