iPhone 13 battery deformation

My post was deleted. But the iPhone 13 heats up and expands quickly within a few minutes in cool weather within two years. I have contacted customer service and will go to the authorized store tomorrow, looking forward to waiting for a solution.

One failure mode of a failing battery is it will expand due to chemical reactions that cause it to give off gas. The battery is contained in a tough, airtight “pouch” that prevents the gases from escaping, but cause the pouch to expand to relieve pressure in the battery. If this happens you should shut off the device and don’t charge it or use it until the battery has been replaced. Apple will replace the battery, and may replace the phone if the expanding battery has done any physical damage. But it is important to have it addressed immediately for safety reasons.
