How to crop photos in iPhone 14 Pro?

I have an iPhone 14 Pro and am battling to crop photos. I have difficulty moving the sliders, I don’t know if it’s lack of understanding, fat fingers, or something else. I am fairly new to iPhone but find it amazing with lots to learn.

The Crop tool has two functions:

  1. to crop away the borders of the photo to a smaller rectangle
  2. or to correct the perspective distortion of a photo by tilting it horizontally or vertically or rotating it, to align the horizon.

  1. To crop the out a section of the photo drag the corners of the photo inward. Or grab the center of a border and drag it inward.
  2. The three sliders of the Crop tool are used to straighten the horizon or to tilt it to correct the perspective. When you use these sliders, the borders of the image will no longer be vertical or horizontal, and Photos will apply an automatic crop to keep the image rectangular, horizontally aligned. This cropping cannot be prevented. use the perspective correction sparingly - if we tilt the image too much, Photos may crop off the heads or feet of the people in the image, or the the tops of large buildings. When I need to tilt an image a large amount, I am adding a border around the image with Graphics Converter or any other third party editor that can extend the canvas, so Photos can correct the perspective without cropping away important parts of the subject.
