iOS "Significant location" and adding "Home" issue.
I enabled stolen device protection on my iPhone. Which mainly depends on the "Significant location". But the issue is that my iPhone always marks some random places as a significant location alongside some actual significant locations that I frequently visit. There is one significant location around 100 meters, that I visit once or twice a week and is a bus stop and my duration of stay there is not more than 5 mins. That place has no wifi. But, weirdly it's a significant location.
Surprisingly the place where stay for 12-16 hours doesn't qualify as a significant location. The place is my home. Where the iPhone is connected to the same wifi that my mac mini is connected to. And both my mac and iPhone are connected through continuity. This is the second place that moved into within a year, but still, iPhone failed to recognize it as a significant location.
Now, I should add my home to my iPhone. But, when I went to add that on apple map it sent me to the contact app and required me to add my address. But, as far as I know, no app has all the street addresses of the world. Also, apple map gets my street number/name wrong. Whereas any other navigation app just lets you drop a pin on the map and lets you mark that as a home/work. And what happens in a scenario where I want to add my home on the map on my phone so that I can navigate to my home, but don't want to add that on the contact app?
I hope apple will fix this issue. A bus stop is not a good place to be a significant location.
