What are you trying to accomplish? Except for using the iPhone's hotspot over BT for whicch there are specific instructions, you can't pair a phone and a Mac using BT. It's not supported.

turn off Bluetooth first, then turn it on.

Or connect your iPhone to the Mac via USB.
