I have only one home) router. With it I have great WIFI performance on my PC—but my iPad (5) crawls.
And I mean, crawls!
Often, it also drops the signal every five minutes—and takes minutes to return. (Again: not on my PC. Only on the iPad)
Hair torn out.
(Itself a miracle,) I found the problem—and it’s friggin unbelievable. I’m sure this will also help out other users with the same or similar problem.
My curiosity was even further peaked when my wife’s iPad started experiencing the same problem and to the same degree. So I disconnected and refreshed everything—and yet, still no solution. Then, about fifteen minutes ago I had a sudden flash of inspiration. It was a long-shot, but I did it anyway.
I remembered that another TV in my house had a Google Chromecast dongle installed—so I went and unplugged it—and voila!
What a friggin nightmare! But there it is. Fixed!
I have two Mac's that run off of of the same router and their speed are totally different and I believe it is the antenna's in the Mac's that cause this. No two piece of equipment are going to be the same.
