Messenger on Mac Not Accessing Camera of MacBook

My M1 MacBook Air isn't letting me turn on the camera in calls (on Messenger on Mac) which the camera button being grayed out and with there no being no options for any camera in the device settings in calls.

Okay, if anyone needs the solve. Open Messenger within facebook in your browser and initiate a video call from there. The system will prompt to give access to your mic and camera. I rarely use messenger from within FB (try to stay off of FB), so I had been using the desktop version of the messenger app and it would not prompt for camera access.
