damaged casing - how to make sharp hook safe

I recently dropped my iPad Pro, and while the case prevented functional damage, the corner of the screen and the casing were broken. I’ve removed the slivers of glass that were loose enough to pose a risk, but there’s a sharp hook of aluminium casing that catches on things. What is the best way to render this safe without further damaging the device?

I have a Dremel, I can control well with fine movement, but it can generate a lot of heat, even at lower speeds. I have no idea what sort of heat tolerance components at the top right corner of my iPad might have. Would a fine file be a better idea? The risk with a file is leverage. An alternative is to literally put a bandaid over it. I was thinking of buying some self-adhesive vinyl, of the type used to do automotive sign writing, and fashioning a wrap for the corner, with a cutout for the lock button.

The “right” answer would be to either pay Apple for a repair/out of warranty replacement like Lawrence Finch stated. Or of course just upgrading and buying a new one (not sure which generation iPad this one is). You can of course attempt any kind of patch job but that’s not really rendering it safe…and may potentially make things worse. Definitely wouldn’t use anything that generates heat.
