Displaylink Mouse lag issues - 2 external screens

Are you driving the monitors attached to the newer MacBook using its native hardware video support – its native USB-C (DisplayPort) or USB-C (Thunderbolt) output? A MacBook Pro based on a Pro or Max chip could drive a couple of monitors – in some cases, more – without the use of the DisplayLInk workaround.

If you're driving the monitors attached to the newer MacBook in a first-class, hardware-supported way, while you are driving the ones attached to the M1 MacBook Pro in a second-class, workaround (DisplayLink) way, then you may just have discovered the disadvantages that go with using workarounds.

Do the times of extreme mouse lag correspond to times when you are accessing external drives connected to the Alogic dock? The more things that are competing for the limited bandwidth of a USB connection, the more likely you're going to notice the symptoms of "trying to put 10 pounds of flour in a 5 pound sack."
