Please refer to Wearing your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Also, you should be in touch with your dermatologist to see if you have any sensitivities to alloys used in Apple Watches. For example, Apple uses Nickel in many of the watch bodies and some people are very sensitive to Nickel. Only your dermatologist can test for this, if you find you do have a sensitivity you can change to an Apple Watch Ultra ( yes considerably more expensive) however the bodies are made from Titanium which is stronger and lighter than the alloys in your current Apple Watch.

It’s certainly possible you have a sensitivity to Nickel. Did the dermatologist do any tests?

This is from the American Academy of Dermatology

>>Nickel is one of the most common causes of allergic contact dermatitis: a skin rash or irritation caused by touching an allergen. In fact, it is estimated that more than 18 percent of people in North America are allergic to nickel, including 11 million children in the U.S.<<

Stainless steel and aluminum typically contain Nickel. Sapphire Crystal may also contain Nickel as it may be added as part of the hardening process.

Have seen dermatologist and stopped wearing watch. Not assuming you are a medical professional. I have worn other watches/ fitness watches with no problems until I started wearing the Apple Watch. Was just wondering what’s used to make the Apple Watch that’s causing the reaction. I’m sure I’m not the only person who has experienced this
