Hinge Loose (not usage error category)

I’m user of ipad and iphone since 2010, but this is my 1st time using mac.

from the start i didn’t know that my mac was production defect, until my cousin using my mac, and say why your mac display like this? Didn’t firm like his and other mac.

so as his suggestion i brought to the store that i bought (an authorized apple distributor) and after they check, they said the problem is the hinge loose, and they will replace the display only (service time could be 2-3weeks)

not replace with the new one. so it will record as repair product (although is not usage error)

is that really the rule from Apple for my case; just repair not replace the whole mac?

iPhone 12, iOS 17
