Help Finding AirPods Left Behind Far Away

I left my AirPods in a hotel room many miles away and did not realize they were missing until I returned from my trip. I have reported them missing to the management at the hotel. I can see using the Find My app they are on premises at the hotel. I believe they were stolen by staff cleaning the room. The hotel’s manager has offered to help me find the AirPods using Find My app. They want me to allow them access to Find My app to facilitate finding my device. I see that family sharing might be utilized to them to track and possibly ping my AirPods which could help locate them. Will that work and if it will, how can I do this without compromising my Apple ID? Thanks in advance for your assistance with this problem.
