Special characters are all of a sudden mis-mapped. I'm experiencing the same behavior with two different keyboards. All keys are working, just mis-mapped. I have reset keyboard defaults and am still experiencing the problem. Am running BigSur v11.7 and there are no future updates available for my 2014 laptop. Ideas?

Go to system preferences > keyboard > input sources and make sure there is only one item on the list, and that the name of that item is US or ABC if you are normally typing English. Remove everything else from the list.

I had two sources, US & Latin America. I removed Latin America and that appears to have solved my problem! Many thanks!!!
