Elderly person locked phone and can't remember apple id password

My Mother has forgotten her passcode on her mobile and has tried to reset it so many times that her phone is now locked. I have tried to assist her but she also can't remember her email password, and the credit card she has associated with the apple id has expired and she had cut it up. Now apple have locked us out for 7 days and no one seems to want to help. She is 77 years old and has seemingly forgotten all of her passwords. She needs a phone for medical reasons. How can we fix this??

Your mother would do the same thing that younger person who forgot their password would do. She needs to go through the account recovery procedure. Her reasons for needing the phone, while important to her, don't affect the process.


If her email account is not connected an @icloud.com address, you should follow the instructions for password recovery for whatever type of account it is. I'd actually start there.


No one here in this user-to-user forum can do anything about this.
