My ringtone volume is fine but all other sounds are very quiet. People say that the two volumes are separate but I can’t see how to alter the text tone volume.

To adjust the text tone volume, go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics and use the "Ringer and Alerts" slider. Make sure "Change with Buttons" is enabled so you can adjust the volume with the side buttons. Also, ensure Do Not Disturb or any Focus mode isn’t limiting your alert sounds by checking Settings > Focus. If the issue persists, restart your iPhone.
