IPad Screen capture

It seems to me, in a multitasking OS, that if I take a screenshot, start drawing on it, then check a tab on a browser for some piece of info to add to the drawing on the screenshot, that I shouldn't have to remember to save my screenshot before I check the other app or risk losing my work... but the screenshot disappears if you don't save it immediately. I get that I need to save it when I am done, but no other app loses its work and disappears if you temporarily switch apps to get a piece of info. Is it truly not in a buffer somewhere whereby I could open some secret clipboard app to continue from where I left off?

So you are correct in your thinking that after taking a screenshot, you cannot go back to the “screenshot screen”. However, you can still markup the image, and access the text and stuff, here is how you do it.

Step 1: Take a screenshot (the picture is of my external display, but it will do).

As you can see, i have the screenshot tools here.

Step 2: Next I am going to Photos and marking up the image:

As you can see, i have the markers, and the text stuff here.

Hope this helps,

Yeah, but isn't that process flow, take screenshot, make sure to save screenshot to the photos folder even if you wanted too store it somewhere other than photos after which you will need to delete the raw photo if you only wanted to mark something up, open photo app, find photo to edit? Seems like if they are going to let you start marking up a screenshot, they should let you continue marking it up until you use the screenshot app again. Not all screenshots are photos nor do you always want them to be.
