ALARM ON APPLE WATCH TOO LOW - HOW TO ADJUST VOLUME?

I keep my watch in charging mode beside my bed and set the alarm to wake me. Obviously the haptic alarm does not function in that mode. I rely on the sound of the alarm which I find too low to wake me. I have searched both on my watch as well as on my iphone but am unable to find out to increase the volume of the alarm. Can someone assist with this?

On the watch go to Settings > Sound & Haptics and slide the Alert Volume to the volume you like.

Increasing the alert volume on the sound and haptics certainly works for the alarm, but then it raises the sound for all alerts (which I find annoying). I wonder why Apple doesn't have a volume bar for alarms, separate and discrete from other notifications. I guess until they do that, I'll have to remember to raise the volume before I go to bed and then lower the volume at the start of my day. Thanks
