iPad Messages sent from Gmail, not phone number When I send a text from my ipad it shows that it came from my Gmail address instead of my phone number. When I try to change that through Messages>Send & Receive my phone number is selected , though it is gray instead of black. Texts from iPhone to Android phone end up in Gmail? I’m sending an SMS text message to a phone number but the message only comes through as an email to their Gmail account. Is this because it’s an iPhone vs. android issue? What settings can I change to correct this problem. BTW…this ONLY happens with one person, my son, ha!

Can you provide some context? Are those incoming or outgoing messages? Do you have MMS turned on in Settings/Messages? Do you have a cellular network connection and cellular data turned on?
