How to disable keypad on my MacBook Air so that it only responds to the Magic mouse?

Physical limitations keep me from using the keypad. How do I disable it so my macbook air only responds to the mouse?

See the "Ignore built-in trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present" section of Change Pointer Control settings for accessibility on Mac - Apple Support

Note that if you are not running macOS Sonoma 14 you may need to change the version near the top left of that support page to get correct instructions for the version you are running.
