Family sharing not working for music purchases

We have two accounts in family sharing, all details checked and correct and we’ve enabled shared purchases, signed in and out of Apple ID and for purchases specifically- STILL not able to share them.

On an older device we were able to manually move songs from iTunes on a PC but our new phones aren’t compatible with the old laptop.

I’ve seen previous posts on this going back years that seemingly never got resolved-, it seems like a bug on some devices that Apple can’t be bothered to fix as they want us to pay for Apple Music, but we don’t listen to enough new music to merit £16 odd a month!

Please, can someone from Apple please tell us how to fix this.

Family Sharing issues with music purchases can be frustrating. Here are a few steps you can try:

1. Ensure Family Sharing is properly set up: Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Family Sharing and check that purchase sharing is enabled.

2. Check that both accounts are using the same Apple ID for iTunes & App Store purchases.

3. Make sure both devices are running the latest iOS version.

4. Try logging out and back into iTunes & App Store: Settings > [Your Name] > Media & Purchases > Sign Out and then sign back in.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, contact Apple Support directly for further assistance.
