Refunding the purchase of a gift card

I got scammed into purchasing a $300 gift card and it has not been redeemed and Id like to get my money back. Walmart said that they have nothing that they can do and normally they refer to the distributor.

Walmart most definitely lied to you. Ask them why they didn’t put the gift cards in a more secure or locked down location? How does Apple control how the merchant displays merchandise? I go to Walgreens or CVS and razor blades are locked up behind glass. Cigarettes are only sold behind customer service counter. But gift cards worth hundreds are sold openly. Hummm? Did you ever ask yourself why that is?

Walmart only said that they can’t refund it and when i tried to call the 1-800-walmart number that the team lead recommended me to, they said to call the number on the back of the card and I did that and then Apple said that they could refund it either. I’m not trying to redeem it. I’m trying to get the money that I spent to get the card back.
