Moving iCloud Photos/Videos To a Memory Card

Hi!

I am running out of space on my iPhone and iPad and decided to connect my phone to my PC and sync my iCloud. From here my plans is to copy all the photos and videos to a Memory Card, then delete them all off my phone and keep the memory card, but before doing so, I wanted to 100% make sure that by doing so it will still stay on the Memory Card and not be removed even though I deleted it from the phone, since I know that deleting photos from the phone also removes them from the cloud.. thank you in advance! Oh it would be nice if the explanation is clear & beginner knowledge friendly 😂 because I don’t want to lose my memories.
