Non- responsive Numbers

I am trying to get into Numbers on my MacBook Pro. When I tClicl the Numbers icon it always says it is a non-responsive app and that I should Quit. But Quitting doesn’t solve the problem. I tried Restarting my computer but it didn’t help.

If I Offload the Numbers app will my files be deleted?

Any ideas of what I can do?

MacBook, macOS 11.7

Try to open Numbers while pressing the shift key.

If the application is still not working, drag it to the Trash and reinstall it from the App Store by going to your purchases. Deleting the application will have absolutely no impact on your files as they are stored elsewhere on your Mac (in your Documents folder to the iCloud Drive folder.)
