minimum supported Intel processor for macOS Sequoia

1.

About macOS Sequoia for Intel based Macs or MacBooks, or as a VM, what is the minimum supported Intel processor…? Is it 8-generation Intel Coffee Lake processor or…? In other words is it the same Specs of hardware as macOS Sonoma…?

2.

What is the macOS minimum for Xcode software development of latest Apple OSs like MacOS Sequoia, iPadOS 18.x… etc…?

VMware, OS X 10.11

From a quick read of another article, it appears the only difference between Sonoma & Sequoia hardware support is that the MBAir 2018 + 2019 models cannot run Sequoia at all. Otherwise, I believe the Sonoma & Sequoia hardware requirements are the same.

Of course some features of Sequoia may depend on the T2 chip so the iMac 2019 may not support some Sequoia features because it lacks the T2 security chip. Plus M-series Macs are required for certain Sequoia features as well which won't be supported on Intel Macs. CPUs don't seem to play a part at all.

Apple is not stating the minimum requirement in terms of specific Intel processors, but in terms of specific Mac models. There may be system components other than the CPU that are relevant to the decision to support – or not support – a particular Mac model. We don't know.

If it amuses you to look up the Intel CPUs that all of the supported Intel Macs use, you can do that with the aid of MacTracker and other third-party sources.

However, that's not going to change the compatibility list to add any Macs that are not already there.

I don't know what the minimum version will be for targeting these future OSes.

I can tell you that according to the App Store, the current version of Xcode requires macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later. My Mac is running macOS 13.6.7 (Ventura), and it wasn't all that long ago that I updated Xcode. However, if I was downloading Xcode for the first time today, I'd either have to upgrade to Sonoma, or hope that Apple had an older version of Xcode available for download on one of their Developer sites.
