No notification or ring sounds

Iphone 13 pro max, IOS 17.5.1. I receive texts, but no sound notifications. I receive calls sometimes phone rings, other times it doesn’t. I tried different things but no luck. Notifications toggle is on and volume on iPhone is set to maximum.

Guys…. I was able to figure it out! I had the silent mode on. All I had to do was slide the Silent mode key on the left side of the phone. 🙄 Time for me to retire..definitely.
