I have a M2 Max 32GB 2023 macbook pro running ventura 13.5. It is displaying 8GB of physical memory inside activity monitor. The full allocation of RAM is not being shown or used. I may have set a limit on accident in terminal. Hoping to try and remove this limit on the available RAM.

this would be Parallels or Fusion— if so I would make changes to dedicated memory in those >Settings...

No SMC or NVRAM on the M1/M2/M3 SoC.
The best you can do if you have an issue— equivalent Shut down, close the lid 30 secs+ , reboot as normal.
If no resolve try SafeBoot Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support to sort anomalies.

Terminal..No you do not have any control over your RAM here.
This is SoC—The M2 uses 6,400 MT/s LPDDR5 SDRAM in a unified memory configuration shared by all the components of the processor.
What do you see in
