How to Get Norton Alerts Off of My Mac

Suddenly I'm getting popups saying something like pay Norton 20 bucks to get rid of this virus. I've tried to get rid of in in Settings but can't get rid of it. us.norton.com shows in system settings but there seems to way to get rid of it. I use CleanMyMac to scan for viruses which works pretty good, but nothing comes up relative to Norton. How do I get rid of this? One thing's for **** certain, I won't be buying any Norton programs.
