The iOS 17 update

last week I updated my phone into iOS 17.5.1 but I heard it was an new update (iOS 18). I tried to go update it and it’s not giving me an option to get iOS 18. Can anyone help me get this please?

What you "heard" was some preliminary information about an iOS version that will be released this fall (Northern Hemisphere).

When the update is released to the public in 3-4 months, it will appear when you tap Settings > General > Software Update

Hello!

I believe the Beta version has been released, but you should not download it on your personal device that you use everyday, regular going.

The "real" iOS 18 is expected to be released in mid September.
