192.168.1.1 is not working in Safari 16.6.1

My Verizon Gateway Router is about a month old. I'm trying to look at my Network name and Password and possibly change them. I've tried entering or 192.168.1.1 in Safari, Firefox and Chrome. None can connect. I believe the firmware on the router is up to date. What are my options?

What model router is this?

Try clearing the cache in your browser, then try again.

You could also try using myfiosgateway.com or mynetworksettings.com - they are local aliases for the router management. Also, note that you will probably get a warning message about it being insecure; this is because the internal login is via HTTP, not HTTPS; you may have to get past 2-3 warnings before you get to the login screen.

Are you sure that's the right address?

Different modems/routers use different default subnets for their private/LAN connections. Additionally, it's usually possible to change that to some completely different subnet/address.

The way to check would be to use System Preferences -> Network, then select your network interface (e.g wired ethernet or WiFi, as appropriate) and click Advanced. From here you can see the IP address your system is using and, more importantly, the router address. This should be the address of your router and is the address to try using in Safari.

Not sure the following is applicable to the model you have but might be worth a try. See the following from https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-301456/

(Be sure to note the first option: mynetworksettings.com)

From the device that's connected to the Verizon Internet Gateway, open an internet browser then navigate to mynetworksettings.com or one of the following IP addresses:
