Does Apple 30W USB C adapter from Macbook air M2 degrade iPhone 15 battery health?

I bought Macbook Air M2 last December. With it, I got a 30 W USB C adapter which I am using for charging my iphone 15 (purchased last week). Now everyone is suggesting me to use 20W adapter as 30W adapters drains battery health. Although they may get confused with other 30W adapters available in the market. So is it safe using 30W apple adapter for my iphone?

iPhone 15, iOS 17

It is safe to use the 30 watt adapter. It I also safe to use a Mac 140 watt adapter. The iPhone won't draw more power than it is designed to regardless of the maximum wattage of the power adapter. See the following from Fast charge your iPhone - Apple Support

To fast charge, you need an iPhone 15 model with a USB-C cable like the one that came in the box or an earlier iPhone model with a USB-C to Lightning cable and one of these adapters:

  • Apple 18W,* 20W, 29W, 30W, 35W, 61W, 67W, 87W, or 96W, or 140W USB-C Power Adapter
  • A comparable third-party USB-C power adapter that supports USB Power Delivery (USB-PD)
