Magic Trackpad issue with Windows 7 Boot Camp

Hi, I just cannot get the the magic trackpad to work with bootcamp in indows 7.

1) is it compatible?

2) I have already updated bootcamp to the latest version, installed driver software. It detected the trackpad once and worked but than on reboot just does not work, and also now cannot detect it. Works fine in Mac OSX. Any help is appreciated.

I'm very frustrated too. Spent most of the weekend getting Windows 7 installed under Boot Camp 4.0. Everything is working except this stupid trackpad. It works fine right after I install boot camp 4.0 tools. I get the prompt to reboot, do so and then it no longer works other then to move the pointer around the screen. And if I try to click on something, the mouse freezes for a few seconds and then I can move it around the screen again. I reinstall the Boot Camp 4.0 tools and it again works until I reboot. So I spend 10 minutes running the repair option on the Boot Camp tools each time I want to use Windows. Its frustrating to say the least.

Hi Guys - same problem many times - using bootcamp 4 for osx lion. why? the computer may not be set to allow discovery of bluetooth devices. I use a wired apple keyboard so no idea about apple wireless keyboard.

in win 7 at bottom right hand corner find the icon for bluetooth devices in taskbar. if not use customize and tell it to show all notifications etc.

Right click on bluetooth devices and select "open settings" select "options" tabe and select "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer".

no more concerns for me discovered it and installed drivers.

Hope this works for you.

I had a problem using my MacBookPro running Lion. For Boot Camp I have Windows 7. I was using Excel and could not right click.

In Windows look to the lower sight hand corner where you time and date are. You will see a chevron that looks like an up arrow. If you hover over it a message pops up saying "Show hidden icons". Click on the chevron and a menu box will appear you will see the Boot Camp diamond shaped icon. Click on the icon and choose Boot Camp Control Panel. Click on the Trackpad tab and select Secondary Click and bottom right corner.

Many other changes to Boot Camp can be done from this panel.

Hope you find this useful.
