How can I fix my mouse not moving on my iMac?

Called apple support & got to the screen with a globe wifi bars drop down menu & my mouse is not moving

If you're in the recovery menu chances are high that you cannot use a wireless mouse. Use a wired mouse to navigate the macOS recovery menu instead
