Why is my Apple Music not working on Wi-Fi?

I'm getting this error on my iPhone and iPad when using my home wifi. I can play Radio channels, just not individual songs, and it's not happening on my MBP which is on the same network.

Same issue here. Often experience problems with Apple Music skipping tunes etc.


No network issue my end and works fine on eg. Spotify when Apple Music doesn’t.


would great with a fix because these problems just renders the service useless!

I have been experiencing the same exact problem for over a month now. Can’t play Apple Music on WiFi or Data I keep getting the error message “ Network connection lost” and it skips through all the tracks even if they have been downloaded.

I have been chatting with Apple and their engineerings for days but still no fix for the problem which is super annoying because I have been paying despite not been aple to use the App.


They have told be to Go on settings-> general -> transfer or reset iphone -> press on reset and in the last popup you press on reset network but for me didn't work.


Then they told me to turn off wifi and data -> turn the airplain mode on -> go on the Apple music app for 30 secs -> turn on the data again, it didn't work either.

Okay, so I got in contact with apple support and they were actually very forthcoming and helpful. They ran a check on my system, I sent them my logs and a video of the error message popping up and chatted for quite a while after being forwarded to the engineer team…he said they might need a couple of days or three to go through the info…haven’t heard back from them for weeks🙄


Really disappointing being a loyal Music subscriber🤬

I have the same exact issue. It started about 2 weeks ago. Sometimes when I restart my phone it goes away, but only for a few our.

also I’ve noticed that it does it only with songs that have not been downloaded on the device. So if you just click it to listen to a song it doesn’t work, but if you click download then you can listen to it. Goes to prove that -again - it’s not a network issue.
