macOS upgradation issue - MacBook Air 13-inch, mid-2011 running OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5

I have a MacBook Air 13-inch, mid-2011 running OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5.

I don't know which macOS latest version I can upgrade to this MacBook.

When I’m trying to upgrade to macOS Software update and the App Store. Neither shows any available macOS updates. How can I update to the latest supported macOS version?

Back up your data, check the application compatibility table, click here, and then on the download link for a newer OS. That model's maximum one is High Sierra.

Thank Niel. I don't need any data backup. I am new to Mac machine, earlier I used Windows and Linux machine only. I want to refresh this Mac machine with the latest Macos.

The highest version of macOS that Mac can run is High Sierra (macOS 10.13.*). High Sierra is six major versions behind Sonoma, and isn't going to be good enough to run a lot of current applications.

Once you have High Sierra installed, you may want to install Firefox 115 ESR.

There are also versions of LibreOffice that are compatible with High Sierra, but you'll have to dig for them in the archives.
