OK so where does a file go If I am in Apple's Email app - open an Email with a say .pdf file and tap the icon (on the attachment at the bottom of the email) then select Save to Documents.
I cannot see a Document Folder in the Files App on my iPhone.

I do not have a Documents folder on my iPhone 15 Pro Max when looking in "On My iPhone" in the Apple Files App.
That said I looked in the iCloud Documents Folder and that is where it gets saved!

The files might be in the Downloads folder in the Files app. There are 2 Downloads folders. One in the iCloud location, the other in the On My iPhone location (only if you have activated that functionality.)
If your iPhone mentions the Documents folder, here again there are 2 locations where it can be: iCloud or On My iPhone.
