IOS Update 17.5.1, reduction in battery performancy, and ExcUserFault logs in Analytics

Since the most recent IOS update, the battery life on my iPhone 12 and Apple Watch 7 has been cut in about half. Battery Health shows 100% battery life on my phone and 87% on my watch. I've adjusted all the settings to maximize battery life and, even before this, strictly limited app access to location services and background app refresh. About the only thing I haven't done is shut off Bluetooth because, obviously, I need it for my watch.

I have a TON of ExcUserFault logs that began appearing in the past couple of month; the most common are apsd, backboard, callservices, corespeech, icloudsubscription, imagent, IMDPersistence, mediaremote, photoanalysis, sharing, siriactions, and thermalmonitor

Do these log events have anything to do with my sudden reduction in battery performance?

Trying to read Apple Diagnostics will tell you nothing. Unless you have access to the Apple tools to read them, they are totally unintelligible to us mere mortals. So what you think you see, proves nothing.

After you did the update on your iPhone, did you Force Restart the phone (something I do after EVER iOS update)? Here's how to Force Restart an iPhone --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Keep in mind after any update, the phone is reindexing millions of bytes of data and people often report reduced battery life after updates. If you want to see what is using the most charge, open the Settings App, tap Battery and look at what is using the battery. Make adjustments as necessary, but the Forced Restart will likely help things settle down.
