I erased my Mac Air and went through the steps,I get to where it shows two options "Untitled" and "Update" I have to mail this back on Monday and really need to get this back to factory settings. When I try to reinstall Sierra,it shows approx. 6 minutes on each one,and when it gets to a few seconds left,then it shows an error that it can't be installed. HELP!!

Other option would be to prepare bootable usb drive with Create a bootable installer for macOS - Apple Support
Since Sierra is not present in article above booting via Command-Option-R could offer installable online image of the system.
Have you created new partition after erase, since "Untitled" does not appear right
Take it to your local Apple Retail Store and have a Genius complete the process.
I’ve done that several years ago and they took care of everything, completely free of charge! 👍🏼

I've done that several times and got nowhere...I did the "first aid" thing.
I am sending it back on Monday,so I am hopeful I haven't done anything serious that has really messed it up.
No....I'm not a tech genius when it comes to do something like that.I would probably burn the house down!
