Logitech MX Master 2S mouse not pairing with iPadPro 12.9 (6th Gen)

I have the IPad Pro (12.9 inch) 6th Gen with IPadOS 17.5.1 and I have been trying to pair my Logitech mouse MX Master 2S and it keep on getting an error message saying Unsuccessful (see photo below). I have tried pairing using three different channels that the mouse provides non work. With the iPad I use the Keyboard that is part of the Logitech hard case called Combo Touch. I wouldn’t see this as an issue.

I have used this mouse for my Apple air and MacBook previously and had no issues.

Would anyone know what the problem is?

thank you for your reply. I have checked the website for compatibility as it says it is.

I found the solution in the website on one of the forums. Accidentally found it. Step 2 was the game changer (steps below)

So if anyone it looking for the answer below are my steps:

  1. Turn on your Bluetooth accessory and place it near your iPad.
  2. To connect your MX Master 2S to a device, press the Easy-Switch button (right below the 1-2-3 indicators) for 3 seconds. When it blinks fast it means it's in discoverable mode.
  3. Open the Settings app on your iPad.
  4. Tap Bluetooth.
  5. Look under Other Devices for your Bluetooth accessory, then tap its name to pair it with your iPad.
